Asian Business Association Announces 2021 Board of Directors

Los Angeles – Dec 21, 2020 – The Asian Business Association (ABA) is excited to announce their 2021 Board of Directors. Facing adversity during the pandemic, Asian Americans faced more discrimination and higher unemployment compared to other groups.  The 13 members Board of Directors will represent diverse industries such as, accounting, consulting, finance, insurance, manufacturing/wholesale/distribution, retail, mobile health care, television production, digital document management, legal, pharmaceutical technology, real estate investor/trusts and information technology.

“ABA is an amazing organization!” said the new 2021 Co-Chair Elizabeth Yang. “They have put on numerous events especially during the pandemic, including events on entrepreneurship and how businesses are pivoting. I am honored to co-chair ABA with James Hsieh in 2021 and look forward to continuing to shift alongside ABA as we organize more virtual events in the coming year for our community.”

Incoming Co-Chair James Hsieh commented, “2020 has been an incredibly challenging year for many businesses including Asian businesses. I am honored to be elected as the Co-Chair of ABA with the amazing Elizabeth Yang for 2021 to further the mission of the Asian Business Association in supporting our Asian business community during this challenging time. We look forward to helping our business community thrive again!”

Both Yang and Hsieh both acknowledged their predecessors in stating, “We would like to sincerely thank both Chewy Jang and Jay Chung for their tireless dedication to ABA’s mission during their tenure and hope to carry on the baton towards a brighter future for both the ABA and the greater Asian American business community.”

“We had to be creative to have the board installation this year. Thank you to California State Treasurer Fiona Ma who administered the oath of office during our virtual gala on Dec. 10,” says Dennis Huang, Executive Director and CEO of ABA. “Working through this pandemic will be a challenge for businesses across the world. Together, we will have a platform to bring businesses together, build strong programs and create business opportunities for ABA members. ABA will be more resourceful and continue to empower the Asian business community.”
